Summer Camps (Who looks good)

Just watched Moore country handle Jaskson County very easily by 20 or so. Which teams have looked good at camp? I totally understand that the intensity level is different in summer ball and season ball. Just want to get a discussion started on who is going to be good this upcoming year.

Kursten Hawkins is the real deal for Moore Co.

Riverdale. 9-0 so far after 3 days at MTSU camp. Beat all teams played by 20-25+ pts with the exception of Cumberland County (Riverdale won by 12). Extremely athletic, fast running team with deep bench. Went 15-19 from the three in one game. 5 players ranked in top 20 college recruits in TN on Bolus Rankings.

Warriorfan they have looked good so far. Saw them at mtsu for two days. I bet Hendersonville is kicking themselves right about now. That point guard is something. All of those rankings don't mean much though as a team. You of all people should know that. Good article in the dnj.

Agree.  Playing as a team and not individuals is what is most important.  Individual play can kill a great team.  I believe they will be on a mission, though this upcoming year. Really like Coach Coffman's coaching style.  Transition game caters to this team's strength which is speed.

Westview has looked good. Their upcoming sophomore point guard added in with their incoming freshman post is going to be tough to defend. This year's team will be better than the state tournament appearance team from last year. They will still be young this year with only 2 seniors but they will be the team to beat from West TN

Riverdale looked VERY good today. I think Coffman's coaching style fits this group very well. He has a stable full of thoroughbreds, let's see how far they run!

Thought Alexander looked REALLY good. Whittington looked good also. Hayes is Hayes & they have other servicable players!

- also Bolus rankings are Bogus. Not saying those kids shouldn't be ranked that high, but I never ever ever go by his rankings.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
