Saw Westview play and they're gonna be the real deal this year. Huge inside, shooters, speed and can guard. They should make a deep run in AA. Gibson doesn't look to bad in single A, with what the return they should be favorites this year. Dyer Co. Did beat them by almost 20 though a game I saw. Peabody girls looked pretty good also in a couple games I saw them play, got some young kids that can play. That's just some teams from west tn hadn't seen many others out of 14A.

The more I read about Hamilton Heights, the more I am convinced that they are poised to do just what their boys team is doing. (become a national powerhouse) I don't know about summer camp games, but 2 very good players have transferred in locally to go with the international players. They should be fun to watch.

They have one of the top 2018s in the country in Jazmine Massengill.

Gee, can't remember. There were Commando basketball players there though. I am sure whomever it was it was good to see any of those former teammates. Good luck to all Rutherford county players this year especially any ex Sumner County players!

So, assuming its the same player, they'd be happy to see an exteammate who allegedly quite the team as well as allegedly sued the school/county? Are you a member of team annie? Seems like only a person in that group would have those thoughts.

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
