ht96
Loretta lost 20 seniors from last years team... I'm not saying they won't be any good but it's hard to bounce back from that in one season.
ath
Not hearing much talk from Lewis Co. Whats their expectations for this season?
Swarm
Lewis will be a playoff team. That's about all I know about them. No disrespect intended but I think Hickman rolls in this region. They have serious POWER on both sides of the line of scrimmage. As well as deep playoff run experience. Whoever ends up in their backfield will be highly successful in my opinion. hickmanfan
You are correct swarm we return both sides of the line and they are going to be great this year
Bulldogfan24
Bulldogs had 14 sacks against waverly in the playoffs last year! That a huge statement from our returning DL and LBs
Swarm
Bulldogs had 14 sacks against waverly in the playoffs last year! That a huge statement from our returning DL and LBs For sure. Waverly has a ton of talent coming up too. Should be some great battles ahead between you guys. I think Hickman has the edge for the upcoming season but as we've seen before, throw in a key injury to either side and everything can change. Hickman has certainly dealt with that the last couple seasons. I wish you both successful seasons and look forward to seeing both teams strap up against our Jackets this fall. wingman10
I think that the teams dropping down in classification will be hard to top for the region title, they're used to tougher competition week after week, and they were all pretty good in their previous seasons. We did add a wonderful OC, but lost a great DC that was a difference maker and will be hard to replace. Done with the negative...Scotts Hill is hungry, and will show up ready to compete every week. They have some speed, they have experience at the skill positions, they have a coaching staff that will have them ready for their opponent's style of play, and most importantly the kids believe that if they prepare and play up to their coaches standards that the scoreboard will take care of it's self. From what I know of the teams (very little of most), Waverly or Hickman Co. would be the obvious choices, but there doesn't look like any easy games in the region for anybody. did SH make improvements to the facilities? tradertwo
I seen this...http://www.jacksonsun.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2015/06/28/hs-football-scotts-hill-improving-facilities/29435665/ Thank's #2...beat me to it. A stadium is in the planning stage now, with talk of leaving the current "home" side of the field as is (380 seats) and building bigger concession/pressbox/seating section across the field for the home fans. It's been a struggle to be a good host to teams with large fanbases, with the poor facilities provided...just remember that we're still a young program and bear with us until we can do better for the visiting fans. The field is now in very good condition, we have a first class weightroom/fieldhouse, and are finishing up the training room and coach's office. A new ticket booth will be done by season, bids for pavement are being submitted, and irrigation for the practice field will be started soon. I realize that only the home folks care about most of the improvements already made, just trying to give some insight on the time and finances required to "get off the ground". Hopefully by next season we will be able to host visitors without feeling guilty about the lack of seating for their fans.
