Pre-season Poll: Class 5A Region 5

Pick the top team for the region in 2015 and let us know in your posts which other teams may contend.

 

Each week I will add two more regions in classes 1-5 and one more in Class 6AAA.

This should be a competitive region. Lavergne coming off a 2nd round playoff appearance in 6A with most their talent returning should be the favorite. Stewarts Creek dropping down from 6A and in year 3 should be on the mix as well. Independence and Shelbyville will both be in the mix for a playoff spot as well. Columbia struggled last year and lost their Div. 1 TE to graduation. Not sure of the upcoming talent but they have traditionally been good. My early predictions based on these things are

I will go with Indy. Lots of returning talent and maybe the best QB in the mid state in Bunch.

LaVergne coming off a great run at the end of the season and in the playoffs should make another great run in 2016! Spring practice went well and so far the 7 on 7 days have looked really good! GO WOLVERINES!!!
