Week 1 -- East Hamilton @ Signal Mountain

I always like this game because both schools opened the same year, and my Eagles have usually prevailed. At the same time, I always hate it because nobody really knows how good or bad they are or how good or bad the opponent is going to be. This year will be the first that it hasn't been Ted vs Bill.

It's no secret that Signal has a small squad this year and has had a few defectors, but I am cautiously optimistic that we will be pretty good. We also have quite a few nagging injuries, though, so I really don't know what to expect from the guys.

The Caines had a rough year last year, but I think most of their players are back so I expect them to do well. However, my spies tell me that they didn't look too good against Mairvul, but most teams don't.

I guess it's just me and that ChatterCaine guy, so I'm interested to hear what he has to say about the 2015 Caines.

I'm thinking that this will be a very competitive game, and I hope my Eagles can prevail again. Hopefully, we won't have a heat index hovering around 100 again this year. At least it is on the Mountain so it should be a little cooler.

dont expect EH to be as terrible as they were last year.....want be a great night for football for the North Red Bank faithful, Troll....but with those Florida coaches on staff now; you should easily still be the 2nd best team in your Region

Booger just sayin

You might be right on that last statement. The Red Bank Lions might very well win the Region this year.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
