32 on the team. Several banged up but don't know exactly how many. I'll take these 32 over the 60-70 that some teams might put in a uniform.

Don't know the weights of the lineman, but 240 doesn't sound right. All but Moon are back on the OL, and they are stronger and quicker than last year.

Saw Skye, our stud RB from last year with the knee injury who transferred to Ridgeland, at the jamboree tonight. He is doing well. Says he might be able to play by week 6.

I can agree with taking the 32 over the big numbers. sounds like the ones with heart and love of the game stuck around. they will never regret it, and their old teammates, well lets just say that regret will start next week.

Well . . . with the way things have gone to this point, we really couldn't afford any more injuries; but, that's exactly what happened the first play of the jamboree. Lost one of our two-way starters at wing and corner. Can't say for sure, but suspect a season ending injury. Hate it for the kid. He's a junior, so hopefully he can come back for his senior year.

It was also obvious that our linemen, several of whom have been nursing bum knees, aren't back to 100% yet; and, several of them are also having to go both ways.

Looks like a long season for my Eagles. Hopefully, the guys can keep a positive attitude. At this point, you just have to suck it up and play for the love of the team and the love of the sport. Win or lose, it's times like this that build character and define the type of man you will be.

I think Signal had one of largest student sections amassed for the jamboree. I have no doubt the school will rally around this team and be there to support them on Friday nights, and I'll do my part to make sure they have some of the nicest natural turf in the area to play on.

Time to git flocked up. GO EAGLES ! ! !

Yes this signal team is not like past signal teams but I still think they will be alright. From what I seen from signal at the scrimmage and East Ham tonight I'll take signal by a TD. East Ham is by no means is going to run away with this game considered Rhea's JV and Freshmen teams held them to -4 yards and put up most of the 172 yds tonight.

East Hamilton's 1st string only played one series on both sides of the ball. Rhea's JV and Freshmen were playing EH's JV and Freshmen.

This is fact. Rhea is one of the worst teams to play in a scrimmage of this format. the cut blocks and wedge blocking can be very punishing on a d-line with high risk of injury to those players. The jamboree, for EH anyway, is more of a practice and refresher of the process of traveling to a game.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
