SEC1rules
Thoughts & predictions? I expect a good game and think HC pulls away in the 4th. I don't know much about Liberty this year but I know they have a new head coach. How much has he changed the style of play for Liberty? TECHY
HC will definitely have the edge in the kicking game. Liberty has got to make some big strides there.
RedSwarm
If Liberty can somehow find some success on the ground to keep the HC secondary honest then they could possibly make things interesting. If they're forced to throw the ball a ton and not get in any kind of rhythm then it might be a long night. How is Liberty on defense this year? MSURacer
Liberty is always athletic, but last year it was also their physicality. We struggled running the ball against them last season, and I think that will be key again this time around. Our O-line, in my opinion, looks farther along than it did at this time last year, which bodes well for us, but we are less experienced in the backfield. If it comes down to it, our QB's have shown they are capable of passing if they need to, but both are sophomores, and inexperience can be tricky. This is the first time since 2010 we haven't started a senior at QB. Should be interesting. Over all, this team has had a good preseason and appears to be a spirited bunch. I'd be lying if I said I don't like our chances in this one, but with so many new faces, talented as they may be, you never really know what's gonna happen when the lights come on for real. Hoping for an injury-free game. I'll check back in later in the week.
TECHY
I think Liberty D will be in the backfield often. On offense the passing game has improved and have a good hard nosed RB he is not as fast as the Bush kids but he will lower his shoulder and run over you
