no idea of the crowd support...were only fielding 40 something players this year as opposed to 70...so im thinkin not much at all...the band is kind of embarrassing so id be ok if they stayed home as well...i think they hurt us more than anything

ill be stopping by pregame...nothing like a game in Paris...best atmosphere around

ill predict that at least 1 of the backs has 200+ yards on the ground if we win

i believe that neither offense will be very successful, but liberty is more seasoned in that department and has a 3rd year starter @ qb which will make the difference

HC loses the turnover battle and liberty walks out as the only team to defeat the patriots at home in 2015

What are you smoking? We (HC) will win this one with EASE!

I was just thinking that Crusader Cool-aid must be really good. Their clouds are probably marsh mellows and their trees are lollipops because is sounds like a fantasy land there.

This is going to be a really good game and I expect to know exactly what we have with HC after this match-up. I guess if they do have a running back that will rush for 200 yards they might win, but I think a strong rushing game is a tall order against this D.

I was also very impressed with the O after last Friday.

Hard to say he may not have many at all the way I hear HC D line is I'm just saying he can knock folks out of the way but I haven't seen the break away speed Liberty gas had in the past. Kicking game for Liberty is not good at all.

And he will kick several in the endzone on kickoffs.  Covering kickoffs seem to always plague us at crucial times.

Last year Bush had 189 yds against HC. I think this years D is about the same as last year - may be better at years end. So IF Liberty has a back better than the Bush kid, then HC is in trouble. HC offensive appears to have a few more playmakers, but not sure about the OL yet - although they did get alot of 6-8 yard runs against Paducah on the first 2 series.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that no runner exceeds 100 yds. But in all likelyhood, it will be somewhere in between. I personally don't think this back is nearly as good as Bush, just my opinion tho. The QB is good and will need to scramble becasue I think our D will be after him all night long. But I think you are on to something saying that the turnover battle will be important - just don't think it will go the way you predict... B)

I will have to respectfully disagree that our D is about the same as last year. We look much stronger up front and are looking at a new set. Our front seven may be the best front we've seen! Only time will tell. But I can say this, the kid from MBA was better than the Bush kid from last year. And probably gauging from how a typical game would go, he would've broken 100 yds, but would likely have been contained. But either way, we'll find out soon enough how good this Defense really is come Friday night!!!

Best HC front 7 I've seen is 2011 and if the 2015 group is better then I'll be shocked. They are very very good this year but the D-Line and LBers in 2011 were just on another level.

Remember, Jelks was not on Defense. Also, I said may be - only time will tell. And I am pretty confident that this yrs LBer's are better. #47 is the best LB I have seen at HC in MANY years. There is a reason schools are looking at him...

Not to mention #97 and his portfolio. But again, these are just opinions and thats why we have fun talking about them on here!

I believe I'd take this year's DL over 2011's. More size and strength. 97 is a D1 player, and it'd surprise me to not see some colleges come checking on 95 as the season progresses. I would put this D-line against just about any in the state.

It's a little tougher to tell as far as the backers go. 47 is a special talent much like #14 was from 2011-2013. They're an extremely talented group. The fact that this is a point for debate should have HC very excited.

As far as Friday goes, I'll be interested to see this "new" version of Liberty. It'll be a great test for our secondary. I wouldn't be surprised to see them have some success initially, but you'll have to be truly balanced to consistently put points on the board against the Patriots this year.

From what I've seen, I'm not that worried about the offense. The OL is ahead of last year and has some size and athleticism. Great athleticism at QB and WR. I think they'll grow with experience. And of course we have a stable of backs. I've been very impressed with the starter. He loves contact.

I have a lot of respect for Liberty and hope they have a deep run when it gets cold. Just don't like their chances Friday night.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
