Last time I checked the scoreboard reflects the outcome. If you want to take pride in outgaining, fewer penalties, and time of possession then you win that fight. I ain't going to belittle Meigs Co.'s effort the other night because both fought tooth and nail. We were facing a team with way more depth than ours. Our kids proved to be resourceful and tough. Reflecting on the game I'd give Meigs a punchers chance in this one. They will have to handle the ball better but their personnel on the field looks stout. I'd say Marion will be in a four quarter game because Oneida has a good football team. Marion has a test before they even think about the Pirates.

Yous got to be joking.....us kinfolkes gets to thinking about feuding every day of the year. OP guarantees the SOS lead Jasperlites is thinking plenty about the Pirates!

True.....the Hatfields rarely ever ignore the McCoys, but then again if there is another big family in the Valley it is best to keep a weary eye on them as well. Soon as you think the enemy is only one group, the other one comes in and steals the eggs. MC better remain leery of MC this week. They are pretty good team, they might be BETTER than the Hatfield Bunch....!

I had to read your post again I thought you were referring to the coaching staff already preparing for the SP game.

I couldn't imagine that this idiot is on our thread singing the same old songs! I forgot...... He is a "cage rattler" bahahaha! Wasted space everytime he posts! Oh well I guess we have to take the good with the bad! I am really looking forward to this match up! Meigs County is a fine football team and we will definitely be tested. I believe if we take care of the football and our D plays up to its potential we will come out OK! Hopefully both teams come out injury free!

I have heard Meigs County has approximately 80 players out this year. How many seniors?

Hatr what kind of mess is this? If you had looked me up when you came down to Griders field to scout I could have showed you my Murphy Fair book and told you how many seniors this Fitzgerald man has. I would have even shared a fudge round with you. If you want me to I can look in my Murphy Fair book and get back with you. You think im joking but im not.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
