How did all the games go around the district last night?

Smith Co. played White Co. very good up until the mid way part of the 4th quarter. Was up 60-55 to start the 4th and White Co. hit 7 3's in the 4th. Smith was also playing their second game of the night and looked tired. White Co. can flat shoot the ball. they will be fun group to watch this year. Smith Co. shot the ball pretty good also, they may be able to make a run at the 8AA crown this year if stay healthy. White Co should take 6AAA I would think.

i agree with everything you said 8aa watcher. actually wc did not shoot very well last night for 3 quarters and just kept it close. then they started bombing away in the 4th. smith co. has a very good team and i knew it was gonna be a dogfight. they will compete for 8aa title i think. number 23 is a stud. sorry i don't know his name. he couldn't miss. he had a bunch of points. prolly 30 plus. idk.

#23 for SC is Camron Huff. Whited and Cade Crossland for WC are very nice players. Whited had 30+ I believe. Fresh also had several.

huff is a nice player. yes we have some good kids. really excited about this year. not sure how far we can go but we gonna be a tough out for anybody.

Huff is good and he's strong. Hayden takes up space down low. And Massey can come in and hit big shots, but is a bit inconsistent. When the three of them are clicking, they will be a hard team to beat.

I went to Smith County today and watched several teams in the district play. SC was all over Bledsoe and then lost by 12 or 14 to Station Camp.

York dominated Signal Mountain and the got creamed by Station Camp. After watching York play Station Camp, York is probably one of the dirtiest playing teams around. Coaches arguing the whole time for calls, fans getting thrown out, and then the players just shove and throw cheap shots when they are getting whipped. Credit Station Camp for just playing basketball and not getting involved in all that mess.

Cannon plays hard. They beat Signal and Bledsoe. They have a scrappy group, just not as talented as last year.

I believe Upperman whipped up on Stone today also.

    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
    • 7 Pages of complaining because the lacrosse team put removable lines on the field so that they could practice/play lacrosse  Y'all boys are bored huh lol
