Jackets have nothing to hang their head about. Only losses to CAK and Alcoa in a rebuilding program is something to be proud of. No, they are not yet where they want to be, but this staff has the program headed in the right direction. If they'll give him time and he chooses to stay there, Kingston will continue to be more and more competitive. Good school, good fans, and an up and coming program. Congrats on a great season so far!

I don't think CBP will be going anywhere he's a home town guy. I hope he's like coach webb at Rockwood who is in his 20th year this season. Go Jackets

Yeah I highly doubt coach Pankey goes anywhere. He is turning this program around in a hurry, and if I'm Kingston in feeling bad for not giving him the job from the get go instead of wasting time on an outsider after Coach King retired.

They better hold on to him for a while! That place was in shambles and he has brought it back from the dead.Alcoa is just one of the programs that an above average 3A teams just cant touch.

I think Alcoa has around 550 students or so I believe. And almost 90 on the football team.there one of the smaller 3a schools.I'm not sure how many students it has to be for a school move up to 4a.I'm guessing around 790-800 kids.I'm not sure.maybe someone on here has more knowledge. Kingston has 727 kids this year.Alcoa will be good in any classification. They are just that good and have good depth.

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
