Truely, tonight is the band vs the football team! According to FB, the band has an exhibition of the new competition program tonight at 8pm in J Fred Johnson stadium at 8pm. (a much more intense show vs the half time show already presented).

 

So will there be more DB fans at The Fred, or at Bearden? They go on to compete tomorrow in the Winston Salem Bands of America regionals. Grand champions there the last two years. Can we say "leadership"?

I wonder if that D-B fan, that almost came on the field when Maryville's backup QB scored late, has on opinion of this play.

I wonder if that D-B fan, that almost came on the field when Maryville's backup QB scored late, has on opinion of this play.

Your point would be better if you knew what you were talking about. 6 pt game and the play was 3rd and long when he broke through the stacked line. The game was still in question until that score. It was not a knee taking time, but then again I didn't see anything wrong with what Maryville did either!

What's that basketball league where they don't keep scores,upward bound is it ?.Anyway,that's what it must be for some coaches and fans when its being dished to them but perfectly fine when they can do it.Coaches and fans like that would jump from the upper deck if Greeneville rolled in and had them down.That might be the only thing I'd change if I were GQ.I would remember those little SA remarks by the lesser coaches and beat the dogshet out of them.Lucky for the other ET teams GQ is a kinder coach then I would be in that position.He's smart,don't mess up a good thing

I'm sure the guy calling the plays for DB was trying to score there. A six point win over a "not very good" Bearden team would not look good in the Saturday morning paper. Another score there and it would fool the DB fans (even the ones at the game) into believing that the game wasn't that close. Everything in Kingsport is an illusion. Upper Deck = Great Football Team.

I'm not a legend on CoachT.  I just a guy that post here without the candy coating. People in Kingsport like the candy coating, so I make them mad. Haha.

 

So now DB has "no" running back to finish out the season? Should be interesting to see if Maupin can survive this.

      Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.

      It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
