Congrats to the Hilltoppers on rallying to the TSSAA State Playoffs. Their wins over Kenwood and Montgomery Central prove that they are worthy of this bid. They are just a six point loss to Northwest away from potentially being the region champions.

Looks like weather will be an issue for opening round of playoffs. Hillwood Coach Kurt Page has the Hilltoppers in the playoffs in his first year at the school. Springfield Coach Dustin Wilson was a player for the Jackets in 1997 when they faced Father Ryan coached by Kurt Page , the Irish won the private school State Championship that year and the Jackets finished 9-4 reaching the 4A quarter finals , they defeated Hillwood in the first round of the playoffs 31-21.
