With Buckhorn losing to Hoover Friday, leaves Big Joe and others with some free time on their hands. They live for football and will help their disciple (osteen) succeed when they can. They were at the Brickyard earlier this year for our game.

I think Osteen is doing just fine on his own. We sure don't need a back seat driver. Osteen is a pretty savy coach. Edited by leadfarmer

Enjoy it while it lasts! If you get past the next 2, I'm afraid Fulton will make Nov.27 a very bad Black Friday for you! We're all just playing for a chance to get beat by them. Have they ever lost in semi's?

Should they just give Fulton the gold ball now? Fulton is very good but they are not invincible.

Just calling it like I see it. Anyone would have to play a near perfect game to beat them. How do have a great team every year?

I wasn't trying to be smart. Please don't take it that way. You never know. They could have a down night. The pressure is all on them now. They have everything to lose

No problem! This is high school football and anything is possible. LA proved that in 2005. It's like an old teacher of mine used to say though--"It's possible---but not probable!"

    • Siegel Middle School is looking for a Head Wrestling Coach. This will be the 3rd year that the school has had a program, but the Stars have had a middle school team for a while now. This is program is established and has a club team (Stars) feeding it with wrestlers.    Siegel High School is looking for an assistant coach. Again, this program is growing with talent every year. This past year we had 2 state placers.    If interested you can send an email to starstnwrestlingclub@gmail.com or freemand@rcschools.net

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
