So Hampton has punted 4 or 5 times this year wow that's really impressive. Watched more film Qb makes the offense go. Going to be a good game l. Think Mc has a little more team speed than Hampton but not sure we can slow them down. The winner of this games scores 35

AE was the fastest team, all around, I have seen in some time...MC seems to have speed (athletes) just about everywhere. Their special teams concerns me.

As of now, weather looks GREAT for Friday night.

We definitely arent as fast as ae. Are we better than them? I would lean toward yes, but their speed can make up for a mistake where ours cant. We have some above average speed i guess, but we dont have those 4.4 burners like grace did......lol. i just hope we can make yall punt and play special teams.

Lol...we pulled away from those 4.4. speedsters a few times...We too have a few with above average speed...But honestly, both our lines are the reason we're clicking right now.

Hope we don't have to punt!

Men, I'm pumped about this game...I wanted to play MC so badly...A great honor to say we played one of the toughest teams in the whole state!

Later in the week we'll give good directions, straight to stadium.

If you plan on sitting, bring padding!

Concrete visitor stands will be replaced next year but are in rough shape at this time

Looks like very very small Visitors bleachers also. We will have that packed 2 hours before game time

Can Hampton kick the ball in the end zone every time? Can they punt the ball 40 yards plus every time?

No to the 1st  one and  we don't know to the 2ond one. We've not had many mistakes on special teams either kicking or returning. I'm sure Marion Co has the edge in this department. Hopefully we won't have to do much punting and if we have to kick off a lot, we probably won. I've seen things exaggerated on here by a few posters but that means nothing. At the end of the night, you are what you are and its how you played THAT night.I'm sure either of us could stink it up on any given night. That kind of thing happens at every level.Someone said this is the State Championship game and I'm not one who thinks that either. Those teams in the West have my full attention. Its fun to get on here and chat but Lee Corso couldn't tell you how this game is gonna go.I've watched about a million games and every single game has its own personality. I was actually expecting you fellers to be in this round. It really could have been any one of 3 teams. That was a gauntlet and not a huge difference in any of the 3. I may be wrong but I think both teams have about 10 game films of each other but I think I learned more from a couple of games last season. Some very telling stuff in those games. I'don't think this will be the shoot out that everyone thinks it will be. But I'm no EXPERT and it don't seem like anyone else on here is either. I've seen some really unfounded and just plain wrong things posted on here the last several weeks.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
