Yeah, my son said they were gathered in a gym and there were some very emotional talks from outgoing seniors (a lot that have been friends since K). Afterward the headmaster told them that the driver of the bus he was on was actually arrested for DUI, but maybe that was just a misunderstanding of the situation. Anyway, they all had a big laugh about it and it was needed after that game :)

Nope...the driver was arrested and charged with DUI, open container, and reckless endangerment of 56 students.

Just and average working man who has an opinion....Maddox doesn't just get the #1 prospect from Arizona because is a great school.....yes extremely just because he agrees with you does not make him right or intelligent...and I said congrats to Alcoa I was just being sarcastic to his one statement about players attending where they are told. To be honest I have no dog in the hunt. And just an FYI I am friends with Martin we have talked about the private/open zone and he agrees with my assertion that if privates are split from public then so should open zone. Go Spring Hill basketball that is...lol

I dont think you're friends with Ingle by saying what you said and I surely don't believe what you're saying he said about open enrollment. I'll have dinner with him and his family over Christmas and ask him directly. In all the talks we've had at family gatherings he has said he is going to play the teams on the schedule and leave the classifications up to the TSSAA. He's always been very complimentary of Coach Rankin and Alcoa too.

Team A: 75 points, 8 shutouts

Team B: 104 points, 5 shutouts

Team B is this season's Alcoa defense. Team A is the 2008 Alcoa defense. This year's defense accomplished great things, but the 08 defense is still the best Alcoa has had.

Quarterfinals, semis and championship-08 Alcoa gave up 28 points. 2015 Alcoa gave up 0. That's arguably the 3 toughest games of each season.

    • What has this guy done to you that is so bad? I have spoken to him at one of the games this past year and he was very nice. I am not sure on his ability to coach.
    • I didn't make it up, I was told that by another coach.   I was just passing along what I was told.  Keep your shirt on there tough guy.
    • I see them and Oakdale struggling quite a bit the next few years. I see OS to be the powerhouse of the area for awhile. It all depends on how much Coalfield can recruit.
    • How did the scrimmage with Central go?
    • I’ve said it all year coalfield isn’t the same team as the last couple years. They have 3 really good players and another pitcher that throws low to mid 80s. Other than that, everybody else is average at best. You could make the argument that their lineup was the worst out of the 4 teams in their region tournament. Oakdale is really hot right now and playing well. Greenback was the second best team there. Wartburg was hitting it well but limped into the tournament with their center fielder being hurt and their best pitcher not being able to go on the mound for them was killer.
