2016 Region 4-5A

Recommended Posts

Have to slightly disagree, I thought they played as a team for the first time in a long time. Everyone thought they were going to get beat and they won big. hopefully they can build something going

forward.

I'm not sure what you're disagreeing about. I thought Coffee County had 1 good skill player. Didn't mention WV. They played good considering they had 4 of their starters out. Second half they got out scored 21 to 7. On offense first half they played great. And they had a 35 point lead twice. But they still gave up to one player basically 21 points in the second half. Now some of that was them letting others play except the D line.

Jashawn Hill will be the starter for Cleveland rest of the year. He was the starter last year. More athletic and faster than McCleary but not as good a passer.

that's good to hear, I'm sure Jashawn is very grateful for his second chance. Hate that Dallas got injured, he was having a very successful senior year. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

I'm taking...

Rhea County over Ooltewah in a good game. Rhea's running back unit produces another great performance on the ground and Jared Edwards gets his first catch of the year. The Rhea defense contains the Ooltewah rushing attack, but gives up enough big passes to keep Ooltewah in it.

Cleveland over McMinn County in a statement win. McMinn's Wing-T looks solid, but can't overcome a Cleveland team looking to rebound from the home loss to Bradley.

Soddy-Daisy over White County. The Warriors might make it pretty interesting, but I'll take Soddy due to home field advantage.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
