HBIC
I have watched PC basketball for 21 years and they have NEVER played dirty. Replay of every other single year...like the FOUR GOLD BALLS in a row? Yes, I hope so. Jealousy isn't pretty, nor making up lies about these great girls at Christmas.Jackson County has won 4 in a row as well. Jealous? Not so much. I'm simply appalled at such horrid tactics used to win. I'd rather lose every game than resort to faux charges to pull foul shots. Genuine talent will triumph over that at some point. PC has good qualities but not good enough to score a gold ball. UCSportsFan
Coming from the biggest homer for Jackson County there is I can assure that the refs did NOT beat us. Did they miss some calls no doubt but they are human just like the rest of us. We can't use bad calls as a crutch. Pickett was the best team however the game was not over after the first quarter like bobcatfan stated. I promise you Jackson County will play better at home. Nonsense. You must not know basketball. Taking a charge is part of the game. Don't charge into another player if you don't want a charge called on you. And yes, GENUINE TALENT did triumph last night. PC hardly played their best game last night. JC was better than I expected...they only lost by 15.
bobcatfan#1
Also...obviously I wasn't talking about JC's 4 in a row. You are just jealous that after Clarkrange and JC dominating for so many years that PC has been better the last 2 than JC. It is a shame to act that way too. Many of us went to your 4 in a row in Murfreesboro to cheer on JC since they are 7A or were 8AA. We also go and cheer for Livingston and Clarkrange too at Murfreesboro. Since you do not know the rule about charges, here it is: A defensive player does not have to be stationary to take a charge…. he or she simply must have established a legal guarding position. The defense can move backward and sideways.
TNBball43
The score was clearly indicative that Pickett County played better basketball. No doubt. However, anyone who has ever played a game knows that when call after call is bogus, it messes with you mentally. PC won, that's that. Before, I said I wouldn't say if PC was guilty of "flopping", BUT after watching the game, i can tell you that yes, in fact, they do. At one point, Allen drove in, completely missing a defender, and they fell backwards as if to take a charge. I agree that taking charges is part of the game, but flopping is a Technical. Just my opinion. Hope Allen is OK after her fall though.
TNBball43
Also, after watching the game, I think that Courtney Pritchett is a phenomenal player. She will perhaps become the best player in recent history from PC, write it down.
FutureCOY
Jackson county where when they beat you they are the best team on the planet when you beat them it's the refs fault.

Obviously, you don't know it either because you could cough on Jayna Ferrell and she'd fall down and so would half of the team that was out there. I actually expected more from PC since they beat someone by like 80 points (which was in very poor sportsmanship). Also...obviously I wasn't talking about JC's 4 in a row. I could have googled that myself, nor do I care because in the end, no matter the stuff you pulled off google, you KNOW that they were falling as a means to pull fouls. There's no use arguing with me regarding the matter. Watch the game again and you can clearly see it. It's not out of jealousy, not even in the slightest. I can respect any team that plays an honest game. Honestly, Clarkrange deserves any recognition it gets because they are extremely good players that can own a court without having to play dirty like PC. bobcatfan#1
Not only did they play better, they are more talented. When a player is in position to take a charge, they always fall no matter what. It is not cheating. It is part of the game. I have seen JC do it just a much and they should since they have a great coach. No one got on here crying about it either. Do you want our girls to leave their position and clear the lane so that JC can get uncontested layups so they wont get beaten as badly?
