Well the kid is not nearly as pumped up as his Dad is.  Man knows the program since the 90's.  Kid is built like either a WR or DB.

 

I met them by accident.  We got to talking football and the state of it in Rutherford County.  The Dad's thinks even less of Coach A than I do.  He had no idea of who I am or my History with the program at R'dale.  He also stated it was MORE than 10 going to be lost.

 

Also heard some bad Ju Ju rumors as to how many Black players will play for him now.  'Rumor' is some things from Hillsboro has followed him to the Boro.

There were less than 50 players on Varsity at one point this year (before Freshman added).

 

Could see a roster in low 40's or even 30's this year.

I know I only have three different college degrees and am considered totally ignorant by some on here, but I do know how to count to 100. I never counted more than 75 TOTAL on the sidelines this year.  This was Varsity AND Freshman TOGETHER!

Ummm...not my area of expertise (psychology), but I think that he was trying to validate your point with what he saw...try staying at a Holiday Inn.

Last time I was in a Holiday Inn, it was at 'Happy Hour' after a gun show about 20 years ago when 7 of us were sitting around designing Ronnie Barrett's 50 caliber sniper rifle on a cocktail napkin. Yes, I had one or more adult beverages that night. So far Ronnie has sucked in about 30 million of our tax dollars for no more than a scaled up Browning Auto 5 shotgun! I will also admit I have made a dollar or two from it.

 

That was in a happy time long ago when Riverdale actually had a actual winning football program that feared NOBODY! I wish I could say that today. As I see it the HC is even afraid of his own players now.

Couple of things.

 

First, your coach "feared" BA because he lost to them so much he fought to change HS sports in TN forever.

 

Second, your program got players from all over middle TN including Cookeville. You were the public school version of BA.

 

Lastly, mentioning issues with players of color is a pretty bad thing to do on a public message board. Maybe if you gave your name it wouldnt be so bad?

Thank you kind Sir! I stand corrected. Not like he saying anything bad about the black players. If this rumor is true that is not good! The color of someones skin does and should not matter in anything, but unfortunately for some it still does! Sad and narrow minded for any folks to think that way. I hope this is nothing more then a rumor! Still not a good rumor! My two cents.

No worries. Its just an unfair subject to mention on this type of forum. Bad for the kids, coaches, community, program, and families.

 

I am not saying malice was intended by any means. It's just one of those "claims" that shouldnt be raised or discussed even in the best

circumstance.
