Its official. Coach Frankie King has stepped down as coach of the Eagles. I wonder who might be interested in applying for this job. Its fairly new school that opened in 2007 with nice facilaties and nice growing community.

I am shocked... If it's true East Hivkman just took a step in the right direction. This guy was by far the worst coach I ever seen, he had no business in that position from the beginning . But with the fact his " protector" Jerry Nash did not get retained as the Supt of Schools he would of been gone anyways. If Nash would of been retained, he would of stayed because he was " protected" . I say give Harris a shot. He deserves it, this should be interesting next few months .

I hope it's true the big glob of doodoo was a cancer for the football program. i would love to see Coach Harris come to the School , it was rightfully his job in the first place. Frankly King was GARBAGE! Hope the est for these boys , but the Middle School program has fell to pieces so it's gonna be a long road to undo what the pig has done to both Schools

Stay away from this one! You'll have "support" from the likes of "Eaglepride" and his buddies. I'm not saying there aren't good people in Lyles, because there are.  However, there just seems to be too much "pride" in the stands.  If you are looking to be a head coach for a few years and then move on to greener pastures, then this could be the job for you. 

 

In any case, I would love to see Gary Harris get the job.  I think he deserve it after all he's been through.  Since so many seem to love him, I think he'd be the perfect fit.  Does anyone know if he finished getting his teaching certification?

I do believe this could be a really good job with lots of community support. The talent is there to compete year in and year out top spot in this district. Coach King did have two playoff years in 2012 and 2013 with very talented teams. I think one of Coach Kings biggest down falls was never having any qualified assistants to help prepare these kids during practice and in the weight room. The QB for this past season won Most Valuable Offensive player in the district and I know of two players that have signed to play college football coming from a team that went 1-9 last year.

Why would Michael Harrison leave Hickman County for East?

 

Nick Patterson is believed to be the successor at Lewis County so him leaving wouldn't make sense.
