LG1977
Fulton Football 2016. Loaded with athletes again. QB is already a top prospect and a sophomore. I say 1 or 2 losses possibly but they return to Cookeville.
AlcoaBasketball
I don't think "back" is the appropriate word here. They never left. Fulton should be better, if that's what you're asking. Greeneville and Catholic would be the only teams that could knock them out, IMO. bluedevilpride2012
Fulton and Catholic will be the top teams in 4A. I would say the winner of their eventual playoff game will win the state.

I say 1 or 2 losses possibly but they return to Cookeville. Catholic will be loaded as they return all their "star" players as well as adding several big linemen which will have a shot at starting. The biggest loss might be the kicker who was a great weapon by consistently putting kickoffs into the end zone.
LEONARDSLOSERS
Catholic is the front runner until someone knocks them off. All the skill players are back, and the box players only have to replace a couple. They will be good again.

Rowan will be hard to replace on the DL though.
LG1977
I agree with you IrishBball...sources close to Fulton tell me that their biggest concern is offensive line. I'm told they will be ok as far as starters are concerned but depth might play a role in their success. They have a ton of skill players that I can think of that are coming back. None on the Rodgers kid's level but a lot of them are pretty close. Their QB is turning almost every college in the countries heads and I believe two or three media outlets named him a freshman All-American. If he can get protection I believe just like last year the winner of the Fulton/Catholic game will be your state champion. This Fulton team is going to be a blue collar team I believe and getting down and dirty and being tough for 4 quarters will be their key. Bravey
The biggest difference in Catholic and Fulton are this .. Falcons have noone as far as play makers in the mold of Rogers and Kuerchen .. they have some speed but no stars other than the young QB who is still learning a great deal as far as mobility in pocket ... he will need some mobility this year for sure .. Falcons very week in OL and DL .. no where the caliber of lineman that KC possesses .. that s where the rubber meets the road .. the physical play .. Falcon's lost their best linemen .. so KC will be heavy favorite to repeat with the OL and DL returning and QB, all the RB's and Rogers and Kuerchen .. very deep and explosive .. the only thing that the Falcons can hope for id defense .. last years game at Fulton .. was the big plays by KC and Falcons sleep walking thru the 1st Qtr .. after 1st Qtr the Falcon defense did very well .. the KO and IT return by # 36 setup short TD's and then Rogers big play of the catch .. so they were down 21 points in 1st Qtr ... Falcons defnse started playing and the game came down to a last play when the Falcon WR got knocked out of bounds at the 2 yard line ... ... great game ..KC went on to just destroy people ..the win over their nemesis gave them the swagger to play on .... would love to think that the Falcons are close to them this year but by looking at what they lost and what KC has returning .. its obvious that KC shoudl get a GOLD

Not sure how much depth the Irish will have, Offense returns 9 starters and should be even better next year.
smpanthers
Heard a Rumor that Fulton has a fall scrimmage against Stone. Can anyone confirm?
GuntersRockMyWorld
Weird stuff happening at Catholic. Middle school football players "announcing" their committment to Catholic via social media as if they're college players. Call me a pot stirrer if you will, but cases like the big lineman from out West, or Grace's 2 best MS players coming over is why teams like Webb and CAK won't play Catholic for the time being. Too much fishy stuff.

Call me a pot stirrer if you will, but cases like the big lineman from out West, or Grace's 2 best MS players coming over is why teams like Webb and CAK won't play Catholic for the time being. Too much fishy stuff. I'm sure you know that the kid coming from out west mom is good friends with Coach Matthews since high school. The family is moving here and they looked at several schools in the area before deciding on Catholic. Several kids have come to Catholic from Grace over the last several years. Catholic's success and system are going to attract kids much like Maryville has done for years. Webb got mad because Cade Mays left Webb to come to Catholic but nobody mentions his dad played with Coach Matthews and runs a system more conducive to developing a player for college. It probably didn't help that we beat them pretty bad and would have continued to do so given the difference in talent and numbers. CAK has never beaten us and the last win was pretty embarrassing. What MS player wouldn't be interested given the success, system, facilities and exposure???
