Monterey Baseball

What are some opinions on Monterey this year...I don't think they will be that bad...but with the lose of Peters they will have to have someone step up... :confused:

Monterey will have the kids that will step up. Morgan is one of the keys and with a lot of young talent they will be good this year.

Word has it that the Turner kid from Cookeville who is a good young catcher is considering transferring to Monterey over Christmas break. Is this rumor or is there truth to this?

I got no clue if hes coming to monterey but we could use him if he does!! He is a good baseball player.

I have just heard rumors about the Turner kid.I heard that all the coaching changes at Cookeville has motivated his family to look at other options. Whoever gets him will do well.

THAT'S HOPEFULLY NOT TRUE. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP TYLER, HE IS ONLY A SOPHMORE. I WOULD HOPE HE WOULD GIVE ME AND MY STAFF A CHANCE. HOW IS COACH WARD DOING THERE AT MHS?

Coach Ward is doing great up here. I think he really likes the school. He is the asst. Basketball coach and I have ask him help with baseball. As for this Turner kid I've seen him play and he could help us, however I believe it's just hear say. I don't understand the revolving door at Cookeville either. I have been the Coach at Monterey for 7 years , during that time Cookeville has had 5 head coaches. That is just about unheard of for a school that has so much going for it. ex: new field, new indoor cage , all kinds of summer travel teams ,ect.

Monterey will have one of the best coaching staffs in single A. My teams have played them in the past. They'll have some good players to fill the void of Peters and others. If Tyler did transfer it would help Monterey baseball and football tremendously. He's a great athlete.

Has anyone heard whether the Turner kid is transfering to Monterey or staying at Cookeville? I had heard his family would make their decision before the holiday break was over?
