Whether you're deliberately "cheating" or not, a team like FW that went to Murfreesboro last year and has a legit chance to go back has to be more thorough than just reading the by laws and "thinking" everything is OK. And maybe this doesn't hurt them at all but Bolivar is pretty pissed about it. The whole incident is uncalled for.

I agree, Bolivar is the one who gets the raw deal.  Has to play FW now instead of McNairy.

Time TSSAA started banning schools where this happens.  If you have a questin about the rules then ask and get it right.  This doesn't penalize a team, they still get to play and it is unfair to a Bolivar team that followed the rules.

Nobody wins in this situation. But as far as advantage in the tournament it is definitely SS. Instead of Lexington in the semis they now have winner of Chester and McNairy. And Lexington makes Region automatically now but will face FW in the Semis instead of SS who they beat once this year. Bolivar takes the hardest hit by finishing 3rd and playing win or go home vs FW. It is not a good situation for anybody.

SS did it right 2 years ago when Hicks decided to leave Arlington Country Day and come home. SS contacted the TSSAA and asked for a ruling before allowing Hicks to play. I realize that Hicks is what SS needed to get past Haywood and the kid at FW hasn't played much, but the rule applies to all players.

Im not arguing the fact that it could have been prevented. Yes, rules do apply to all players.

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
