Nice, I'm assuming Elizabethton and Memphis East will move up. Anybody else that we know of? Will Alcoa try their muscle in 4A?

Looks like they've managed to mess up the privates. 16 in A 21 in AA and 9 in AAA mostly due to what 3 or 4 schools with attendance over 1000. And putting Brentwood Academy in AA with A few others all but gives them a path to the state championship game on a regular basis. Unless they elect to move up to play the big boys.

So if a team chooses to move up a classification does that bump the highest enrolled school in that classification to the next classification?

That would open a whole new can of worms if that was allowed. If a team is ALLOWED to move up that class will just have more teams. Teams won't get bumped up to a higher class or moved down to a lower class. Could you imagine the controversy?

We need BA and Ensworth to move up. I'd like to see CPA and Notre Dame move up as well possibly.

I agree. But doubt it happens. I see some schools dropping football in the private sector in a few years.

why would Elizabethton look to move up? what do they have to gain? they haven't won anything in 3a?
