Is Knoxville Catholic the best team in the State? (All Classifications)

Alcoa Bball Cathloic and Alcoa are very easily on the same level this year outside of classification which to me doesn't mean much. Last year, I said publicly that I thought Alcoa had the best defense in the area with the McClurgs and the rest of them, but that's last year. They still have a very good defense, but they couldn't contain Catholic for 4 quarters. You are also underplaying that Irish defense, they are tough to run on and passing isn't smart on that secondary.

I'm sorry, but Catlick has yet to play a team anywhere close to the caliber of the Tornadoes.....And please don't say Central! They scored 19. Please, don't....😂

I would take Brian Nix as my defensive coordinator any day over anyone from Knox County. I assure you he would have Alcoa's defense ready. Still going with Alcoa.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
