Can't wait to watch this game I belive MC should be able to outscore Boyd but I also believe the line better show up on both sides of the ball. I think this game just like the SP game will be won in the trenches! Sub a few players in and give the #1's a couple plays off We didn't do that against SP and I think it was a factor in the game. Also believe we have to pass the ball at least 4 or 5 times successfully to keep Boyds D honest. 31 to 20 Marion County!!!

I think you might be full of mess. You said that durn Mathis man could beat Grider. That Mathis mans passer is not going to make it to the SEC. You think im joking but im not.

And I admitted I was wrong about that Mathis mans team but I never doubted that Grider man would have his bunch ready to play ball! 4 or 5 passes is not quite SEC material. I will say that Mathis man's QB will be and already is a good athlete and ballplayer and he was only starting his 3rd game when he came up against that stingy SP defense he will continue to improve as a player and get better every week! I've been around that kid for seveal years now and he is a fine young man with a good head on his shoulders. You think im joking but im not!

Observations.

Boyd has not lost a regular season district game in 8 years. Will that streak continue?

Boyd had +280 starts over 3 year period with last years Senior class. How will young get team respond in big district game?

Boyd defense from last year had arguably the best defense in school history. Without the 'genius' defensive coordinator can Boyd effectively scheme to shut down a primarily running game?

Boyd had +400 offensive yards to 180 for MC last year. Will same numbers hold true?

MC was totally out coached and out played last year. Will same situation apply this year?

Game was at Boyd last year. Away this year. How much does home field advantage come in to play?

Both teams were undefeated this time last year. MC has lost to SP. What can Boyd take away from that loss?

Have only watched a half of a game this year, so have no clue about either team. Time flies.

    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
