agree SHH....the 0-4 Hawks could be the toughest team SGC has faced this season....SG is playing with smoke and mirrors just like last season....5-0 vs what has to be the weakest first half of the schedule in the state....finish with the big boys...Liberty..Milan D-berg...I can see Wview beating SG and SG winds up 5-5....

Thought this was a milan/mcnairy co thread?

McNairy needs to run football with QB and RBs and mix in the pass . McNairy will score but don't think defense can stop Milan . Game will be closer than score reflects Milan will pile on points late.Milan 42-14

agree....Milan has started slow in just about every game this year, but their size, speed and athleticism wears you down in the 2nd half....running clock in at least the 4th....it's good Milan has faced several teams that throw 5 out of 4 downs with USJ coming up....even though that is a non-region game...it's will be a good gauge on how the "play with what gets off that bus" division stacks up against the "pay for play" D2....

Can't wait to see Milan vs USJ. Both have very good, potentially great, teams this year. Hoping it becomes a yearly rivalry.

The biggest question here is can the Milan RB hit 255 yards rushing in less than two quarters this week....?

A lot of people will probably see your post and assume you are referring to the D1 stud Anthony Ballard.

Nope. Norman the 3rd string back had 255 and 3tds on 13 carries and he is only a sophomore. 😀

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
