QSouth89
What is the lowest 5A enrollment -- has TSSAA mapped out the cutoffs yet ... Knox Cath can compete in 5A also .. I dont think they will be as good next year and after loosing guys like Rogers and KuerchenCatholic loses 7 starters on offense and 6 on defense. It'll be tough next year. Bravey
Catholic loses 7 starters on offense and 6 on defense. It'll be tough next year. They still got alot of good players ... #8, #24 ... dont know if these kids are part of the work program or not but heard they were as well a certain frosh lineman .. so will be interesting if these families are able to pay tuition . # 8 and # 24 will be 2 of their better players next year ... here's to bet that the 4 payers who were on work program still play there next year .... wonder where the money will come from .... Bravey
Hope Catholic stays in 4A, not 5A. If they go 5A ..I think Alcoa moves up to 4A ...
AllRegion
If they go 5A ..I think Alcoa moves up to 4A ... There would certainly be some good match-ups between Alcoa and Fulton, if that were to happen

anotherback
Hey maybe the Publics should declare going private reverse the multiplier etc. Hahaha
Sundevil
In theory they could make them play 6 A couldn't they? Will they have to look out of state for games?
IrishBBall
In theory they could make them play 6 A couldn't they? Will they have to look out of state for games? Not with 620 students......
Swipes
In theory they could make them play 6 A couldn't they? Will they have to look out of state for games? If their student population with the 1.8 multiplier was over the 6a mark then yes they would be in 6a, no theory about it.

After reading all the comments, I'm sure there will be some teams in 5A districts voicing their displeasure about the Irish being placed in their district. The TSSAA could take a like it or leave attitude.
fredjones
Under the old rules you could only be moved up one class with the multiplier. Catholic only has about 600 kids. 3A by size with a move to 4A with multiplier. Board action did away with that rule. there is no limit on how many classes you can move up
