I read that as well. Troy is a great guy, and I'm certain he'll build a program. If given enough time...

I've only heard this 2nd hand, but I was told the plan is to build a new high school and grow. If that happens, being located in Farragut, they will compete with the other privates, especially CAK, for students and be at a different level in a few years.

Agreed, but best coaching staff in the state is a stretch. Goes back to your post about passing 59 times and running 4...Not top tier at this point, but it is a sign of the type of O they are looking to run when they have pieces in place

Don't know how much time you need when the cash is there to buy a program...MoJo seems to know the deal there

Was starting to get a few back and now the QB is out . Its been a trying year but they are getting better. Sure can't afford any more before the playoffs.

It won't matter if y'all are completely healthy for the playoffs. Your region is terrible and will go 0-4 in the first round. Heck, the 6th place team (Jellico) in region 2 beat the 2nd and 3rd place teams (Oakdale & Hancock Co) in your region. It's looking like y'all will play Harriman.

I wouldn't come up here and stick my chin out. And I also think Cloudland could play with anyone in region 2 except Greenback if they were completely healthy. These teams are not any better than Hampton and Sullivan East.

I said it once and I will say it again. I wish the coach for Cloudland that scheduled this game was around again this season. This absolutely does nothing to help kids on either side. I'm also shocked that Coach Matthews would agree to it.

Coach Matthews needed games and Cloudland was willing to play.  But after reading post that the old coach scheduled this game then left the the school I see why they wanted to play.  Sorry that's not fair to the new coach or the players.

In fairness to the Old Coach. He didn't leave on his own accord. Truth be told Catholic had to try to find some games,Cloudland was stupid enough to accept.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching stuff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching stuff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
