89 the Rice Krispie dynasty is over after this year so I hope yall win it all this year. Pearson is back for Huntingdon next year and little brother is a freshman. Got another Warbritton in the pipeline. Hows the cubbard for the Cats?

Pearson returning isn't even fair. My brothers jaw literally dropped when I told him he was a junior a few weeks ago. Him and Yates from Dresden are the most underrated rbs in 1A... that says a lot too because both are well known

As far as 1A goes for 2017-2021. I count 21 teams that are for sure east teams. They will not leave it 21 for the east and 30 for the west. I look for them to pull some new teams to the east for 1A.

regions 1 and 2 will for sure include these teams.

Cloudland

Jellico

Unaka

Hancock Co

Coalfield

Sunbright

Oakdale

Greenback

Midway

Oliver Springs

Harriman

Region 3 and 4 probables are

South Pitt

Whitwell

Lookout Valley

Sale Creek

Copper Basin

Red Boiling

Pickett Co

Clay Co

Gordonsville

Monterey. Could end up in region 2

Now the problem is that's only 21 teams. To make it closer to even let's look at some possibilities pulling over. The three most likely would be

Huntland

Moore County

Fayetteville

I see absolutely no way that these three don't end up in the east side of the bracket like they have been.

Now to the far west.

Regions 7 and 8

KIPP

Freedom Prep

Memphi Middle

Hillcrest

Westwood

Middleton

BT Washington

Oakhaven

Lake Co

Greenfield

Gleason

Bruceton

South Fulton

Humboldt

Dresden

West Carroll

Huntingdon

These 17 have no chance of moving to regions 1-4.

I do think you could see Bruceton and Huntingdon move to region 5 or 6 to help even things out.

Now to Regions 5/6

Nashville area is

McEwen

JoByrns

Republic

Grace Christian Franklin

Collinwood

Wayne Co

Cornersville

Perry Co

Mt Pleasant

Richland

As I stated earlier those three teams of Moore, Huntland, and Fayetteville could move east and this would have a ripple effect.

I really think the Memphis schools along with Middleton will be region 8. I think Huntingdon, Bruceton and possibly West Carroll will be in region 6. Lake County, Humboldt, Dresden, So Fulton, Greenfield and Gleason will be region 7. West Carroll is iffy for region 6 or 7.

The regions aren't going to be even teams that's a definite. I could easily seeing it look similar to this.

I can't see Fayetteville and Copper Basin being in the same region.

They are both the furthest east and on the north side of interstate 40.

this last classification( moving Huntingdon to region 6) has taken a toll on fan base. Playing every region game a hour -hour and a half away is tough. Especially with a 7 o'clock start time. Plus the money from our own gate. No one besides parents want to drive over a hour to Huntingdon to see their team get beat by 40( not beating my chest, just stating what has happened the past two years). With TSSAA being so money hungry, I don't see how this can fly.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
