Trousdale County @ Nashville Christian

It will be nice to the holier than thou crowd gone next year. It's tiresome seeing schools with kids from four different counties brag about buying some wins. I might actually peruse the board more next season without having to sift through so many posts from the silver spoon crowd.

"Oh please, please God, take all the good teams away so we will have a chance to be relevant again. Its just not fair. Its not fair God!"  All we heard after last year was how y'all had everything coming back and we were losing a huge group of seniors. Y'all had it in your mind that you were going to be region champs this year and it just stings that you aren't. The holier than thou comment is pretty funny.  Maybe, just maybe a little bad judgement on the part of your former coach was your undoing.  Sometimes a little holiness goes a long way.

That's really funny #57 is a good player but not best LB on the team that's #18 is best LB on the team and best defensive player on the team and I don't know where you are from but this is very disrespectful to think that NCS can run 1 formation and 3 plays and beat TC easily they can will score and not only if they get lucky on special team

Told you so!

TC good luck against huntigndon. Move on and try develop a game plan to win that game.I honestly saw several guys quit for y'all last night. That is not a dig. Subjectively look at film and count the number of linemen that looked to be wearing roller skates and d backs/linebackers backs that were jogging. I was very surprised. Possibly had to do with the coaching situation. Truth is that has to get fixed regardless of classification. This is not intended to be a bad post just stating what I saw at the game and on film this morning. Good luck to you guys moving forward.

TC just flat out got whipped! If NCS wins the state this year, it is a shame that they are the best team in 1A. No disrespect to NCS. I have just seen a lot of high school football over the years and that is my personal opinion. Six classifications has really diluted TN football. NCS does have few solid players though. #11 is a really good 1A RB. I was impressed with #1 as well. The OL has good size and is very solid. #34 is no where near the dominant force he should be and could be. NCS is better than TC. But with that being said, if TC has Satterfield or Creasy coaching that TC team there is no doubt TC wins. Maybe even makes a run at another gold ball. Yes those two coaches make that much of a difference. TC has made a living off beating teams better than them because of coaching, conditioning and toughness. Right now TC has none of that. They had none of it last year as well.

As for the private school comments, yes they should be playing in their own league but TC has been VERY successful against private schools in the past. TC used to play BGA, CPA, FRA, DCA and FCS on a regular basis. And won four gold balls in the 90's while doing so. TC has and will always complain about playing private schools, but not because TC can't beat them that is for sure. NCS has caught TC at the right time the past two years. The past two years have not been TC football. But don't worry, TC football may be back again as early as next year.

I am glad we were watching the same game! And you are correct my friend!

Sour grapes! You're the one who said it wont be three scores. You're just another broken record on here. TC's past? Good, great even! I said you have a great heritage. One Im sure we will never match. Im sure I probably wont be on here after my son is gone. His years and experience while he is at NCS is all I give a hoot about. Thats just keepin it real. This thread is about the meeting of these two teams this year, but just so you hear me loud and clear congratulations on your magnificent past! Now, be sure to go wipe the dust off them gold balls.

Just for the record fans at small Schools like Tc still give a hoot after their k8ds are gone?

Nick Saban couldnt have won with that team last night. He might have got them to snap the ball a little quicker, but that's about it. When the D line is retreating back to the secondary on every play up the middle there is nothing a coach can do.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
