All u guys that said Henry co easliy must not have realized how good our d-line and o-line was

Granted those guys saying anything about "easy win for HC" were either homers or outside fans that were butt hurt by CHS, having said that, the battle at the line of scrimmage is not what beat HC, they ran the ball up and down the field all night and with the exception of a few break away runs did okay against the rush on defense. They just couldnt stop the deep ball and/or passing game in general, and turnovers which were forced for the most part but still I would say the HC line held their own on both sides.....

I agree. Tough year for HC but we will have 16 starters back and some very very good underclassmen.

Props to Centennial on bringing what was probably the best crowd since Gallatin last year. They were loud, too.

HC just doesn't seem to have it this year. Too much youth and too many mental lapses and critical mistakes. I hope they can find a way to pull it together and win a playoff game, but that's not a given this year.

The band put on an awesome show after the game. Probably the highlight of the night.

I've watched HC and Centennial this year play Rossview. HC dominated Rossview. ( I will say Rossview had a terrible night, but no excuses). Centennial is not as good as their record. I saw them play Northeast and was not impressed. Rossview led Centennial ( at Centennial) most of the game and lost it on turnovers. I know what their record says, but I think they're on borrowed time. HC wins by 14, easily.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
