steelcityroller
Again I know most of you guys don't keep up with .... with local football happenings,we would stomp the yard on Trousdale County trust me we've done it before and that group of kids are there now as Sophomores and Freshmen I keep up with local football happenings pretty well. I'm assuming you are talking about Walter J. Baird and Trousdale Co. Middle (JBS). I might be wrong but it seems to me like quite a few of the best players off those Walter J. Baird teams are playing elsewhere. Mike Jones Jr. and Speedy Foutch (QB and RB) were probably the best two players they had those good years and neither one of them is playing at Lebanon. Both are D1 prospects with Jones Jr. an early commit to Clemson. Trousdale County beat WJB 40-0 this year. Trousdale County and Lebanon both played Gallatin in 2013 and 2014. Trousdale County went 1-1 and Lebanon went 0-2 with TC playing them closer both years. This year Lebanon lost 31-7 to Warren County. Warren County lost by 20 to 3A Dekalb County. Last year Lebanon lost to Portland 34-21. Portland lost to Friendship Christian (last year and this year). In 2014 Lebanon lost to Portland 20-14. Portland lost to 2A Westmoreland 19-0. So yeah you absolutely can't assume that Lebanon would beat a smaller school. Especially a team like Trousdale County. Who has gone up and proven they can beat bigger schools and ones that are better than Lebanon.
steelcityroller
So who else would you add to the list of choices for them to play. LaVergne Macon County McGavock Hunters Lane Glencliff Coffee Co. Antioch Portland Warren Co. Tullahoma Franklin Co. Columbia Lincoln Co. Powerpass
actually that's not the guys Foutch or Jones)i'm referring to, know them very well. but this new group, that's there now. and another good group about to roll in next school year. And as fars as the Portland and Westmoreland comparisons 2 words [Harp years]. and yes i get what you're saying. And Gallatin got "jobbed!" in trousdale,(I Was there) if you wanna know the truth. But you see how that worked out for trousdale the next year ...LOL
PaPaLegba
Lebanon should play imo Gallatin, Dekalb County, Antioch, and Lavergne if they are not scared of competition and would like a good gate with low cost of travel. If they are scared of competition, play Red Boiling Springs, Pickett County, Zion Christian, and Nashville School for the blind. You would get a better gate than playing Hunters Lane, Glencliff, and Warren County and you would achieve the same goal.
