Mistake in 3A Bracket

Cheatham played an ineligible player and forfeited a 14-13 win to finish at 5-5 overall. They'll open the playoffs at Stratford. I was shocked when I saw Cheatham only won by 1 point. No offense to East but Cheatham is 28 points better than them easily. Did Cheatham "self report" this or was it something that was turned in by someone else? I would say, as crazy as it seems, that Cheatham would rather play Stratford now as oppose to playing Goodpasture or CPA. Those two privates are playing better ball that Stratford at the moment. Stratford's QB and possibly TB having major injuries the last couple of weeks is crushing for them. I would be shocked if they were to reach the semifinals.

Well judging by teams fairview played and Camden. To be honest if it weren't for records I'd have to put harpeth 4th Cheatham 3rd and Camden 2nd. Fairview and Camden clearly both dominated harpeth. And Cheatham played fairview to the last second and beat camden in a close one. They may have reported it themselves which is frowned upon. But I don't think anyone was robbed. Harpeth had an easier non region schedule. I truly believe that 1 and 2 are the two best teams in the region.

I agree on Fairview being #1 and Camden being #2 in the region. I'd say Harpeth was clearly better than Cheatham. That's my opinion. On a given night Cheatham would beat them but more times than not Harpeth would win that game. Cheatham would struggle to slow them down offensively.

i honestly wouldn't know who would win if they played 10 times. Was simply giving my opinion on how harpeth played fairview and Camden and how the cubs Playa fairview and camden. Cheatham by far play both of us better. Cheatham put more pts on us than any other school this year. And defeated camden. But harpeth vs Cheatham is rivalry. That plays a huge role.

Kid that played was two days too old and was given ONE snap in Senior game after he attended all practices and games for the entire year it was self reported by a higher up- don't believe any harm toward Harpeth or anyone else was meant just trying to do a good thing for a young man and unfortunately it has backfired

if this is true then TSSAA should be ashamed of themselves.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
