Mount Juliet hosts Ravenwood

This game makes me nervous no doubt about it. We all remember the 12-7 loss MJ took during the regular season, BUT MJ hasn't lost since. Honestly the dominating way MJ is playing I think they should handily beat Ravenwood, but RW seems to matchup well against us. This game is somewhat of a toss up, I'll say 60/40 with MJ winning. Big game.

That first game seemed to light a fire under Mt Juliet. After that game Ravenwood seemed to fall off a bit. Mt Juliet will be seeking revenge and it's hard to beat a team twice. I'll go with MT Juliet by a couple scores.

MJ's OL has improved and they've learned that they must be able to complete a few passes to keep defenses honest since their last meeting. Bears win 27-14.

In the first game they had some success near the end of the game throwing the ball. Neither team was able to do much on the ground. I went back and looked and MJ had something like 40 carries for 120 yards and Ravenwood had like 25 for 70 or something along those lines.

MJ defense has gotten better, as well as the offense. Ravenwood has been stagnant ever since playing MJ. If I was a betting man, MJ should control this game, in every facet.

You better hope it is positive updates. MJ can't get starstruck that they are playing last year's 6A champs. Gotta get out there and play their style of ball.

Should be a very excited game, two teams that are both confident and on the rise. i respect this mt Juliet team, I just don't think they can pass the ball well enough to help out if the run game gets shut down again. 21-19 ravenwood
