I personally hate that one team gets an automatic bid to the region based on a random number drawn from a tiebreaker, but that's the district by-laws. Hopefully, the system changes next year with it going back to 8 district teams. I'd like to see no byes to the region and just a straight up tournament.

Tiebreaker will be a number drawn at district meeting between Powell and Karns if they tie.

That is the final tie breaker.  After district record and head-to-head record, they go down the list of teams in the district as they finished and compare the victories.  However, Powell's loss to Clinton will push them to 3rd place.

How in the world did Clinton beat Powell @ Powell? That ones a shocker to me.

Yea I guess that settles who gets third. Lol. So it looks like seeds 1-4 and 8-9 are settled. AC, Halls and Clinton fighting it out for 5-6-and 7. I kinda agree with u SS, but honestly there's probably only one truly dominant team in our district, and that's OR. Clinton has the athletes to beat 2-9 on any night. So does CC I think. Think about this:

In the last couple weeks CC has beat halls, AC, central and Clinton. Had Powell on ropes at Powell and lost by three.

Clinton has beat AC, and Powell.

Central, our 8 seed took Karns, our 2seed to overtime.

Halls beat AC by like 23 the other night.

Don't be surprised to see a 5-8 seed in final vs OR.

Talking to people at CC game last night and next year should be a fun year in our district. We're losing Gibbs to go back to 8 team district. AC, CC, and Clinton will all be better next season. I'm sure Karns and Powell will be strong too. You never know what u get out of central. Can't wait!!

Huge win for the Dragons! We about beat Powell at home with 2 starters sitting out, only losing by 3. #5 seed in reach by winning out against AC and Gibbs. Halls still has to play Karns and Oak Ridge.

Great win DT!!!! 5 seed would be a great accomplishment after a bad start. Glad you guys put them away at line. You have a nice bunch of young kids coming up too, so things are looking up in Clinton.

1) Oak Ridge

2) Karns

3) Powell

4/5 Campbell/ Halls tied

But CC swept Clinton for tiebreaker

6/7 Clinton/ AC tied but play Tuesday.

8) Central

9) Gibbs

Thanks for the info Chill. So it looks like AC and halls could finish 7-9 tie for fifth. Who gets 5th?

Clinton and halls could tie for fifth at 7-9. Who gets tie?

Does winner of 6-7 game play #3 seed then?

I'm with u, I don't like the bye to regions. That really is a big disadvantage for the rest of the teams. Don't mind a bye for your season body of work, but auto to region. Idk.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
