Sequatchie has the toughest road ahead. Marion and Sp will be fine. Sequatchie has to get past East Ridge first which they should man handle, but then Alcoa will be in Dunlap the Friday after that. And that's where it's gonna be bad. Got 2 advantages against Alcoa we have home field advantage and they have to drive 2 hours to get here and that could be a big factor. But really don't see us beating them. Alcoa is just a different animal then anybody around here

I agree Alcoa is a different animal but go back to 08. MCHS traveled to Alcoa and made them play 4 qtrs of football. Yes MCHS lost but they were in that game till the end. Never underestimate the underdog! Lot of respect for Alcoa's coach, he actually gave Jasper praise after the game!

Sequatchie has had a great year, if you do face Alcoa you have the type of team that can burn the clock. Get it in the 4th and you never know what can happen.

I believe that Seq matches up well with Alcoa i think. Ball control smashmouth football. I think all three will have tough matchups. To my knowledge, Mc has never beaten Austin East and they have a ton of speed that will test Marions ability to seal the edge. I know they gave up fifty, but they gave up a ton passing. Although Greenback went to the final last year, i fully expect the Pirates to beat them and be the best shot for the valley to bring home the Gold. Good luck to all.

I remember back when A-E had that dynasty period going on.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
