McMinn was a four win team in a terrible region last year.GB whipped Loudon,Kingston and Polk (preseason Scrimmage) three of McMinns wins and neither of the three could score on us.So a 6A team should have no problems with like McMinn.I expected WB with the expectations the fans and supporters to try and play much tougher teams. With their schedule being so weak this year I would have tried to play a team close to their caliber.Stone just got clobbered by 1A Coalfield last week. Now McMinn County is looking like a pushover also.Confidence wins are better than no wins I guess.

Oh shut up lol. WB scrimmaged Oak Ridge and Bearden. Oak Ridge will be a top team in 5A and Bearden will be middle of the pack or better in their 6A region. It's not as if we didnt go up against any good competition this year.

I don't put any stock in scrimmage games because their to see who plays and who don't. I watched Sevier County in 2015 play Heritage in a scrimmage and look like everything but a football team and then end up in the state championship game.

One scrimmage doesnt tell the tale about a team, but I believe it would be a lie to say they dont matter at all. On average, teams get about 3 to 4 scrimmages total with spring and fall practice. How a team does overall in all of those scrimmages will tell you something about what kind of team you have.

I didn't say they don't matter, I said I don't put stock in them because their to find out who plays and who don't. When your setting there in the stands and the team is on a drive and the coach puts in the second unit line and all the sudden they get stopped how can you take a game like that serious. Now if my team went out and got skunked 4 touchdowns to nothing and never crossed the fifty yard line then that would be something I might go home and worry about.
