Did WB win the Jamboree last night??

Nope, but from the sounds of it we had a nice opening drive and drove the ball down and scored.  We had success running the ball, which is a good sign. I knew we'd be able to run the ball this year after our scrimmage with OR back in the spring. I cant remember the last time the Govs were able to consistently run the ball. We've relied too much on big plays. I expect to see a better season in terms of wins and losses.

Not sure of the score ogb. I was standing street side behind the scoreboard. Govs drove 70 yds to score in a dozen or so plays to start the quarter. Most physical looking wb team I have seen in a while. IF they can keep the interest and excitement going thru the season, the good folks of LA may get to celebrate several times this season. IMO they have enough horses. Only criticism was why play starters so much in jamboree? That is nothing new.

After watching that opening 70 yard drive last night I have changed my prediction on the Sausage Bowl next Friday against the Lenior City.  WB should win this one by 35 Links sending the Wampler's into the Mercy rule.2afemg9.jpg

I'm real nervous about this game because Lynn-Orr City's coach says they have worked harder than any team in the state. And they have home field advantage.  :(

Hopefully the smoke from the grills at the concession stand won't blow onto the field like the last time the Rebels played down there. It looked like they called in an airstrike for a smokescreen.

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
