kwc.....if you would have looked for someone with a little Crimson and a lot of green...money bags hanging from their pockets...that would have been the Bama recruiters...

MLREB:

Let's not kid ourselves ... all of the major D1 programs have some recruiters that have some money bags attached somewhere.

The same could be said for UT ... or Florida, or Ohio State, or 'insert major D1 program here'.

kwc......I lived through the days of rouge Memphis coaches and Lynn Young pay-offs to the Memphis mafia. Ole Adams in orange wasn't a prince himself....maybe a princess?

Yeah, so did I. It doesn't change the fact that every major D1 program has had some type of 'pay for play' type of situation going on when it comes to recruiting. Heck ... it happens at smaller schools to a degree. There might not be the same type of money ... but 'pay for play' is 'pay for play' regardless of the amount of money changing hands. To isolate Bama because of what Lynn Lang did back in the day could be viewed as disingenuous in regards to everybody else. I understand you want to make Bama look bad and slimy. But that glove fits everybody in that regard.

I really don't have to try very hard to make Bama look "bad and slimy". Saban's 'eternal punishment" and getting changes dropped in the case of their star O-lineman was enough to put me over the top on what this clown is all about. In an auto with a stolen gun and drugs? Let you and I get observed with that and see what happens...

You are literally making that situation WAY worse than what it was. Weed and a gun that wasn't registered is more the truth than "Stolen Guns and Drugs"... You making it sound like Cam Robinson was a major drug dealer like Eric Westmoreland or Jamal Lewis...  Or as irresponsible one of the DUI prone Colquitts....  :geek:

BTW, Logan Young is DEAD, and the Lynn Lang/Albert Means situation happened in 2000... UT fans gotta let it go and start spending more money in Da M (Memphis) and Da ATL if they ever expect to get back to the National Title level... Good luck  :thumb:

As usual.....you missed the point of the conversation.

You say that like there is a major D1 program that has some moral high ground that they can stand on. LOL.

No one has a moral high ground in major D1 football. If they do, they are proably so bad that they are the doormat of their conference.

Who in the SEC?

UT? ... Don't make me laugh. Ole Miss? Please! Flofida? That's rich. They all have fleas and ticks. You are just hating on Bama cause you are a Bama hater, plain and simple. It's ok, you aren't alone.

Me, I cut UT loose after that crap that the UT administration and coaching staff pulled with the young lady who reported that one of the football players raped her. Her friend who was also a football player helped her to report it to the police in Knoxville. What happened after that was just downright criminal, coming from Butch Jones and administration.

THAT should have you in an uproar as well, or else, you are just talking because you are bored.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
