It is a shame when parents get to call the shots, when their kid cant take (coaching)!

Micah is a great guy, and no coach deserves to be dismissed in this manner. I too have been old by people within the Lawrence County system that it was pressure from "select" parents. The body of his work should have carried more weight than the opinions of a couple of parents. When kids become difficult to coach or frustrated, often times you will find that they are getting fed opinions at home.

 

BINGO...this guy "gets it". Parents (even those who wouldn't intentionally cause an uproar) who continually comment on a coach's shortcomings in the presence of their kids are undermining the team, the coach, and the kids. Many games have been won from the belief that if they trusted the coach it would work, when in reality it was the effort given because of that trust. Best game plan possible won't work without the teams effort, and kids won't give it if they fully believe in the coach.

  If all the disgruntled fans would put aside their coaching expertise and just support the team in every way possible, every program out there would be much better off...even those who are already successful.

Your boys played hard and aggressive in a win against a decent WC team. Didn't see much different in coaching but a little different attitude with players which is a positive for your team from the first time these two teams played. Hit big shots where WC couldn't seem to throw it in a river. The district tournament will be up for grabs despite seedlings.
