If he is hitting 40 a game his coach deserves it for letting him stay out there in blowouts. He is a good player but nobody gets 40 a game in Tennessee without rubbing some weak noses in it late.

What is his teams average margin of victory? If its 6 and he has 40ppg stop voting right now and give it to him. If its 28 and he has 40 well......still deserving to be in the discussion.

I know guys averaging 20 a game that play 2.5 quarters most nights. Again, not critisizing the kid he has my utmost respect and if he won I could embrace that choice! He is a heckuva player

No dog in the race but I watched the Clay Co./Jackson CO. a week ago and alot I mean alot of SEC schools are going to be very sorry they didn't get on this kid sooner. He might be the quickest to the basket I have ever seen in HS. He played this past summer with the big boys in AAU and averaged 28. He had about 30 in the first half in the game I saw and thats being boxed and JC slowing the game down.  Watched him play once as a Jr. and he has really stepped up his game from last year. If he has one fault it's he needs to shoot the 3 more which he can do. This kid is fun to watch.

I have watched him probably 7-9 games mostly AAU and he is an outstanding player. One to admire

Austin Fisher from Clarksville Academy would be a great selection for this years Tennessee High School Class A Mr. Basketball Award. He is a a great teammate, leader, and student athlete. He values the influence that his basketball talent gives him to lead his team, his school and his community. Recently, a wonderful article was posted on the front page of Sports section in the Leaf Chronicle highlighting Austins accomplishments this year. He is the 3rd player in CA school history to achieve over 2,000 points in his career. Austin is a super young man, polite, respectful, hard working and definitely deserving of this award.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
