2017-18 AA Top Returning Teams

I do not know what.Sheffield returns. Mitchell returns a lot of size..Having the twins and Robinson for tbe entire summer is huge. With 4 players standing 6 6 or taller we must now find some.wings. Our JV was pretty loaded and hungry. The.way our season ended the staff and players are ready to.work.

Macon County has 4 starters coming back with a solid bench behind them. I wouldn't be surprised with another state tournament push

Been hearing lots of buzz this summer about Raleigh-Egypt. Are they legit this year??

R. Egypt will be the team to beat coming out of Memphis, but they do have to go through Ripley, Haywood, Covington and Fayette Ware, along with Mitchell, Sheffield, Melrose and Hamilton. So anything can happen between now and March

Top teams in West Tn by districts

13aa Dyersburg

14aa Southside, Lexington

15aa Ripley, Haywood, Fayette Ware, Covington

16aa Hamilton, Mitchell, Melrose, R. Egypt, Sheffield, 

 

out if those 12 teams only 2 will represent West Tn at the state Tournament. Things could change with tranfers and injuries but these are the teams that are headed for deep runs.

South Side will be very young and small. McBride will have to do a lot for his team this year without Rose and Reed by his side. I'm curious to see what Fuller pulls out ouf his hat. Lexington may be the front runner in 14AA. Havent seen or heard anything about the newcomers to the district.

13AA So. GIbson, Obion, and Milan is sleeper

 not sure  names 

14AA Lexington, SS and Chester is sleeper

Garrett Lex and McBride SS

15AA Ripley, FW, 

Jones Ripley and York FW

16AA Melrose, Mitchel and Sheffield

Jones graduated at Ripley, but I still expect them to be good with Alston and Bostic picking up the scoring load.
