So far, Huningdon is the team to beat in 1A.  WC will be second but as we all know, that game will be a knock down, drag out.

The rest of Region 6 is up for grabs.

Who makes the top 4 other than WC and Huningdon?

Depends on who steps up to grab it?

It'll be between McEwen, Bruceton and  Cwood. I'm thinking Bruceton will be in with Cwood and Mcewen fighting for the last spot but there's a lot of ball left to be played and anything can happen

Some of those stats don't really tell the story but thanks for the update.

Just throwing stats out there. Wasn't trying to prove or disprove anything. Just my weekly assessment of the Region.

He can correct me if I'm wrong but I think what he's trying to say is WC spreads the ball around to several different backs. WC won't have one or two backs that will be that far ahead in rushing as the fifth and sixth back. The coaches are keeping fresh legs in the game on every play

Exactly. I enjoy seeing the stats, but there are players on here that I wouldn't trade any of our kids for.

PC, you do a good job keeping us updated. Please keep them coming!

I appreciate it and yes I know Coach Rice and Coach Crews keep fresh legs mainly when I look at the stats you can tell they mix it up:

Brilee Harris- 36 carries/ 357 yds, 7 TD's

Avery Davis- 40 carries/ 227 yds, 2 TD's

Travis Paterson- 19 carries/ 162 yds, 3 TD's

Preston Ray- 15 carries/ 108 yds, TD

These are the top rushers so far. But there are atleast 4 or 5 more kids that have 70+ yards on the season.

    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
    • The lawsuit requests a jury trial. Sable Winfree has extremely competent legal representation. FYI - her lawyer represented the Warren County school system for years, and I believe he knows what constitutes a reasonable lawsuit.
