cbg
Today is the first day of competition. The event will kickoff with the Cadet freestyle competition which is a change because past tradition tells everyone that you start with Greco Roman. Does Tennessee have any young wrestlers that should medal in freestyle?
durdon
They are weighin tonight, and wrestling starts tomorrow morning for Cadets and Sunday morning for Junior's. Its a very very small TN group of wrestlers this year. Here are the Tn Cadets Tn cadets 94p Cooper Flynn - 106p Emory Taylor 106p Garrett Foreman 120p David medina 120p Jeffery Gross 152p Johnny Mac Fieldhacker 182p Trent knight 220p William Taylor Cooper Flynn will AA and has a legitimate shot to win cadet 94 ill post the Junior's later. It takes forever to find the TN kids with that awful FloArena app.

cbg
I have never watched Cooper wrestle but with only around 40 wrestlers in his bracket I agree that he should have a good chance to place high. Even for the great wrestlers if they have 100+ kids in their bracket it is difficult to place due to the number of matches one must win. Cadet 285 only has about 20 something kids but that is normal due to football practice beginning in many states.
durdon
Cooper placed 8th at UWW WORLD Team trials at 100p just 2 months ago in a bracket that had like a 100 kids.. Cooper is the real deal..

JSamson7
Can't believe he made 94 lbs, he's going to need to get alot bigger in HS if he's looking to land any big time offers.

That he must have cut hard to make 94lbs? He more than likely did. That he's going to have to get bigger in high school if he wants to get any college offers? Last I checked Iowa isn't looking for a 100 pound high schooler. So what exactly was it about his comment that showed how much of a joke he is?

Kurt Mchenry is the number 1 recruit in the nation and He has wrestled at 100 this summer. Sam Latona won Fargo at 88 last year and he is ranked 3rd in the country at 106 now and is one of the top recruits in the country. Spencer Lee the top recruit in the country last year wrestled 113 for almost his hole high school career. Cooper is just in 8th grade pretty sure he will be getting bigger threw out his high school career but if not I can almost bet money big colleges will still be looking at him.
