This has nothing to do with SP but I thought this article gave insight into the discipline of Alcoa. Rankin is the Saban of Tn high school football.

better stop 22 also if sc plans to have a chance.  He is a great player and those lbrs are, i would guess, 3 of the best in 1a ball.  Sp wins this one by 3 scores.  book it

If SP is going to win this game it will be up front. I thought they looked pretty solid along the lines last night.

You got those 3 plus Josh Wingo and Thundur Roberts from Whitwell in the same region. That is 5 very good linebackers all in one place. Like I said Earlier SP offense will do just enough as the Qb situation gets settled. The defense will win this one for SP.

SP in a close one (1-2 possession game)... Sanders struggles early but finds a rhythm after he gets his Jersey dirty, and completes some high % passes.

Well fellas it's that time once again! Both Teams starting out 0-0. The QB position will take care of its self that isn't a big worry. Sanders looked decent on a few throws the other night. Over time that will get better. Obviously #10 will have his touches and control the game Friday. SC has very slow overall team speed so this one should end up 3 or 4 scores in SP favor.

Outside of #10 all of SP speed is young. This years team isnt as fast as previous. That will be a factor this season. What SP does have this year is a big FB that will come downhill. That plus #10 will be the difference.

Sequatchie County still has a solid team. They will be a very tough test for this young, Pirate team. Line play will determine the winner in this rivalry just like it has the last several years. Hopefully, we can find a way to reverse our fortunes this year.

We had no team speed last year eirher. Speed ain't the only thing that matters. Ya Sp should be the favorite after what all we graduated. If you think just cause Sequatchie has no speed your just gonna win by 3-4 scores your wrong. If Sequatchie is gonna get beat that bad we might as well not come
