That's pretty much the reason I only go to a handful games every year. Our season, historically, doesn't start until the playoffs. I went to the Lebanon game, and would have went to the FCS game, if Maryville hadn't been coming to Oakland. I'll probably go the Macon County &/or the Westmoreland game, as long as it's not the Oakland/Blackman week. Not too much to see after that, I don't think, until about the Second Rd. or the Quarters. That being said...I just though about this. How many other Regions have produced three State Champions in the last ten years, or so (TC, FCS {before DII} & Gordonsville)? One year (2011) the old Region 4A-AA had two State champions from the same Region. Gordonsville in 1A FC in 2A I know without a doubt from 2009 thru 2012 it was more difficult to win Region 4 than it was to win a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!! Watertowns best teams in history were 1977 and 1985 when there were only 3 classes instead of the dozen or so now and only district champs & runnerups made the playoffs. Last yrs team was good but not on par with those two teams.

4thq
It looks like H2O Town is the worst team in Wilson County.

On the 2nd play from scrimmage I took it to the house on a long trap play. We had 3 plays called without huddling to start the game. We also hit Watertown with a fake punt pass from our own 20 yard line for a touchdown. Watertown was blocking punts on everybody that year by putting all eleven up on the line so we just slipped our tide end out and threw the ball to him. We may have been the only team to beat Watertown that year but not sure about that.
