thegreatone36
Games like these are what I love most about high school football. Traditional games, close games, and great crowds when there is a lot on the line between these two teams. They both met as undefeated's last in 2011, both were 7-0 (and both definitely had quality wins under their belts if there is doubt these two programs arent capable of beating great teams). Crowd was standing room only. Didn't care much about the results though! Golden Bears have a great football team this year IDC WHO they've played. thegreatone36
What is the injury status for both teams?
BKisler
That 2011 game had great atmosphere and was really built up. What a crowd. I have never seen a crowd like that at MJ before or since. Love this rivalry. This is what high school football is all about. Wish I could be there to watch. Man I miss watching my son play. Go Bears !
thegreatone36
I remember people standing deep all the way around the field, even on the endzone that is hillside. Biggest crowd they have both played in front of since 2011. With the 2012 Jalen Hurd led Beech/MJ crowd coming in a close 2nd. Gallatin / Trousdale had a suprisingly huge crowd at the Creekbank in 2013 as well.
BKisler
They were 5-6 deep all the way around. I forgot about the 2012 Beech/ MJ crowd at Beech. That place was packed. That was one heck of a game. I agree with close second. Wow; what great atmospheres for the boys ! Nothing like Friday night lights!

BKisler
It was. My bad. I was thinking of the 2011 game at Beech. That was a great game too.
thegreatone36
Also, with Beech being the only team left in Gallatin's new region, I think GHS did a WONDERFUL job of scheduling non region games this year, putting all old school 9AAA teams on there. MJ, Hendersonville, Station Camp, Wilson Central, w/ Springfield being the only non-9AAA for the non region matchups. thegreatone36
And i recall MJ whooping Beech in 2011. But thing is, Bears whipped everybody 2011. Whipped a Gallatin team that had already previously beaten good 6A playoff teams that year in Oakland & Brentwood

MJGOLDENBEARS
Make it or break game for MJ here. Sounds like MJ is playing injury free, and also having a great week of practice. They will need to bring their A game Friday night at the bear den.
GWAVE1
Everybody is picking MJ to win. Some of the scores aren't even close. I cannot even remember the last Gallatin/Mt Juliet game I was not at.... it was a long time ago. Looking forward to this match up and I expect a hard fought game on both sides. Better get there early cause it is liable to be another standing room early crowd!!
