I know NCS is in D-2 now but I'm keeping this topic on the 1&2A boards. Daniel Bituli played a heck of a ballgame last night. He was all over the field. UT has a heck of a LB in #35.

He didn't have much help.  UT couldn't get any push up front.  They were on their heels all night

He should have been a starter last year. Ive seen that young man play up close and hes got the Patrick Willis build.

I saw an interview today where Bitulli was talking about his experience with the Trip Op in high school.  He said that he lost his sophomore and junior year to a team that ran that same offense.  "I hate that offense". He said. When he was aasked which team it was that he lost to. ....he said " Union City". How bout dem Tornadoes.

i saw it also, thought it was pretty cool.  To his credit in them 2 games he is the only player on D that could tackle Ricky Henry. I bet he had just as many tackle in those games as he did Monday night. His name was called many times over the PA system in those games.

In the history of UT football, 22 tackles or more in a game by a player has been achieved just ten times. Bituli had 23 and a forced fumble which led to a TD on Saturday night. People on the T laughed at me a couple of years ago when I said he would only be at UT for three years. I still say that.

He was a special player at NCS. I remember watching him in the semifinals against Peabody and he was a man amongst boys.

Yeah, it looked like they were on roller skates.

I didn't realize he was 6'3" while at NCS.  Yes he showed his youth a couple of times but he definitely was the best LB on the field for the VOLS.
