No disrespect to BA at all. I don't like to admit anyone is better than Maryville.  Your team is awesome. Don't think anyone could beat them this year. I saw how good Catholic was and your team killed them.

Catholic confuses me a little - they have 3 sec lineman on that team and several skill players who will go sec or mid major - I would have thought the game would have been closer. Idk

maybe going both ways hurts them but ba has many kids doing the same.

they sure looked good in those uniforms though just a head scratcher for me.  I thought after the 1st q we had a ball game.

ba had more team speed esp on defense so maybe that had something to do with it as well

good luck to you guys this year

I think one thing that has hurt Catholic was #31 getting hurt. He was their workhorse back.

Good point - they never really established the run all night - I think they had 180 yards total all night and threw the ball an awful lot

I’ll need to look at the stats but they were scrambling and throwing short passes up the middle all night.

They had moments where they looked really good but only a few drives all night. They had a few third and short yardage where they had to punt.

Anyways - was a fun atmosphere to watch a game - would love to see more of these in state

Hey now, I thought we got past that last year.  His first post of the year was calling you an idiot. Don't go after a whole fan base because of one poster with CPA in his avatar.  Not sure why he called you an idiot, if he knows any CPA players that have went up against the player you mentioned, he certainly would not over that comment and your clearly are not an idiot for saying BA the best team in the state.

What's up bcd, I've always enjoyed our chats on the T. You are very respectable and knowledgeable about football in TN. My bad on the CPA comment, you guys always have a good program and ingle does a good job over there with them. Hope the rest of the season goes well for y'all!

A group of talented individuals don't always translate into a great team. I've not seen a lot of leadership so far this year. We obviously lost several key players from last year including two that are playing big roles as true freshmen for their college teams. As much as we miss their talent on the field, we miss their leadership both off and on the field and their work ethic. When your best players are your leaders and hardest workers, good things happen. This team is still a work in process and entering region play needs to refocus. Our 3 losses are to teams that should win state titles. Big game this week to start the process.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
